The NRL Integrity Unit is investigating two separate incidents allegedly involving Wests Tigers stars Luke Brooks and Kyle Lovett.
Video emerged of a street fight in Balmain and the Tigers are confident Brooks is not at fault.
The players had reportedly been arrested but were not charged by police.
Brooks was said to be acting in self-defence and defending his brother.
Lovett was collecting his sister from an eastern suburbs night spot.
“And we have spoken to the integrity unit, we have spoken to the detectives, we have spoken to the hotel. We have spoken to Luke,” Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe told The Daily Telegraph.
Lovett earlier this year pleaded guilty to cocaine possession and stood down for four matches after police found a small bag of cocaine in his underwear.
