Just over 12 months after Australia’s Erin Densham did us proud by scoring a bronze medal at the London Olympic Games, 460 of Australia’s finest and hardcore athletes will pound the pavements, wet stuff and bike tracks of one of the world’s most famous hotspots.
Inside Sport were guests at the Noosa Multi-sport festival held late last year, which itself is a massive event, so we can’t possibly imagine how huge this London gig will be.
The ITU World Triathlon Championships will culminate in the two Elite finals – the Women on Saturday and the Men’s race on Sunday. Australia will be represented by seven athletes on the main stage - Emma Moffatt, Emma Jackson and Ashleigh Gentle in the women’s shootout, and Aaron Royle, Ryan Bailie, Cameron Good and Dan Wilson for the blokes.
