The 2.13-metre tall centre was Australia's first ever no.1 pick in the NBA draft, going on to a successful yet injury plagued career with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Although often registering averages in excess of 10 points and 10 rebounds per game, Bogut largely failed to live up to expectations during his career due to persistent injuries.

Nevertheless, Bogut continued playing at the highest level after leaving the Bucks through spells at Golden State Warriors, winning the NBA Championship in 2015, before Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers.

Bogut will join fellow former Boomer and NBA centre, David Andersen, in the NBL next season.
