Sam Burgess has been banned for South Sydney's next two NRL games after being found guilty of elbowing Canterbury's Josh Morris in the throat.
Burgess had argued that his elbow to Morris' throat was because he had braced to go into contact during their Good Friday clash.
But the judiciary found the Souths star guilty of careless and dangerous play, handing him a two-match suspension.
Rabbitohs coach Anthony Seibold was disappointed with the verdict.
"I don't want to make any further comment other than we've got a game to prepare for on Friday night against the Dragons and we don't want this to be a distraction," he told reporters after the hearing.
