Cronk will leave Melbourne for Sydney at the end of the season and is yet to decide if he will play on or retire.

He has a role with Fox Sports based in Sydney and is moving to be closer to his Fiancé.

Cronk has been linked to several Sydney clubs, however, his mangers Gorge Mimis says a decision will only come after the 2017 Origin campaign.

“We have no interest nor intention of having any discussions with any parties until such time as he decides if he wants to play on or not,” Mimis told Fox Sports.

“That will not be prior to the finish of State of Origin.”

Storm teammate Billy Slater believes Cronk could hang up the boots.

“He’s fit, he’s mentally there and he could go on for a number of years if he wanted to but it wouldn’t surprise me if he did retire because Cooper can do things a little bit different at times,” Slater said.

But Cronk’s former mentor Andrew Johns says the half could well play on.

“Cooper is in good physical shape and if there is any football left in him then I’d imagine he’d keep playing,” Johns said.

“He is a quality and fella and purely from a football point of view I think (playing on) would be good for him.

“He will get a change of environment and wherever he goes he’ll have a massive influence.

“I think it will be good for him.”
