Farah signed a two-year deal at the end of last year and was touted by many as the man to wear the No.9 jersey before suffering a biceps injury that has stalled his pre-season.

"If I had to go off pre-season form, he's (Cook) probably our hooker," Reynolds told Fox Sports.

"He's done everything right."

"We're forming a combination between the halves and hookers and fullback, with Cookie and Farah.

"They're both X-factors and they can play a number of positions."

Farah is expected to be fit for Round 1.

Cook has played just 26 NRL matches to date.
