Kelly spent a tumultuous two seasons on the Northern Beaches which included the Daly Cherry-Evans backflip and the current NRL match-fixing saga gripping the club.

Strike Force Nuralda, backed by the Crime Commission and NSW Police, has been established to investigate alleged match-fixing and centres on three Sea Eagles matches including Manly’s 20-8 loss to South Sydney in Round 16 2015, their 20-16 loss to Parramatta in Round 24 2015, and their 22-10 loss to Parramatta in Round 7 this year.

Former Manly player Kieran Foran, who played in the Maroon and White in 2015 before shifting to Parramatta this season, has been linked to the investigation.

Tim Cleary will be appointed as Chief Executive Officer in December.

Cleary is the current Principal of St Augustines College in Brookvale.

“Tim will join the Club at the end of the year when he concludes his term as Headmaster. During his 15-year tenure, St Augustines College has grown to be the largest school on the Northern Beaches,’’ Manly cahiraman Scott Penn said.

Kelly wished the Sea Eagles well for the future.

“I am looking forward to a break with my family before making a decision on my future. I wish the Sea Eagles great success going forward,” he said.
