Just weeks after signing a mid-season deal with the Storm after 18 months with Manly, Myles will this weekend run out for Easts Tigers against the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Intrust Super Cup.

It’s a startling proposition for the once dominant prop considering he overtook the great Wally Lewis’ 31 Origin appearances after notching his 32nd match in the famous Maroon jersey in Game One last month.

Add in 230 NRL appearances, a premiership with Canterbury and nine games for Australia, Myles’ fall from grace is significant.

Sunshine Coast Falcons coach Craig Ingebrigtsen said he was wary of Myles’ abilities who he believed would really test his troops.

“Nate’s last game was State of Origin so that shows what quality of playing we are coming up against,” he told Newscorp.

“It’s great for the competition. There will be a lot of interest in the game and it might get a few more people through the gate with Nate Myles playing.

“Our younger guys will get a buzz out of playing against him.”

Myles relegation to reserve grade is a sign Craig Bellamy will not be granting him an easy route to the NRL despite either starting or coming off the bench for every game he was available at Manly.

Ingebrigtsen encouraged Myles to bring the right “attitude” to the second tier this weekend.

“I wouldn’t say it’s easy for NRL players to come back to Intrust Super Cup,” he said.

“With the right attitude they can be dominant. You can tell their class and experience so it should be no different for Nate coming back and terrorising my poor blokes.

“Good on him – it’s good for our competition to have someone of his stature coming back and playing in the Intrust Super Cup.
