Coach Jeff Hornacek said he had not heard from the point guard with the Knicks announcing just before tipoff that Rose would not feature in the game.

"I can't comment on it," the Knicks coach told reporters after the game. "It's as simple as that. We don't have enough information to comment on anything.

"Right now we don’t have information to give you anything. That’s just going to have to wait until we hear from Derrick himself. We’re not going to go into it. Everything will become clear later on."
