Sides outside of NSW say they have not been given a concrete plan to relocate away from their homes for as much as five months.

The Warriors would also need to quarantine and complete a period of two-week self-isolation before they could compete.

Chief executive Cameron George says he is disappointed by the lack of communication from the NRL.

They believe in order to be ready by the revised commencement date, the side would need to leave New Zealand this Sunday so they can complete the designated quarantine period followed by enough time for a shortened pre-season.

But George claims that he hasn't received a tangible response by the governing board.

NRL head of football elite operations Graham Annesley did get in contact with George but the CEO said it didn’t address their key questions.

“There are players, families, staff, sponsors and members all asking questions and I am sitting here like a cardboard cut out,” said George.

Warriors head coach Stephen Kearney has also stressed to the NRL that more clarity is needed before his group commit to a long relocation period away from their homes and families.

“That’s the most disappointing part about this whole process given the logistical issues that we have,” Kearney said.

“It’s frustrating. They made the announcement nearly a week ago but we’re in no better position.

“It’s an extreme sacrifice to potentially be away from your family for five months and yet we’ve had minimal communication about what all of that could look like for our staff and our playing group.

“I find that quite disappointing.”
