Mitchell Pearce has been granted a release from the Roosters as Manly circle.
The Sea Eagles have granted a release to five-eighth Blake Green who will join the Warriors on a lucrative deal.
Pearce’s release follows the signing of Cooper Cronk who will join the Bondi club on a two-year deal at halfback.
Pearce is being courted by Manly, Cronulla, and Newcastle.
But the Sea Eagles look set to sign the No.7 after releasing veteran playmaker Green.
New Manly CEO Lyall Gorman confirmed the Brookvale club was doing all it could to lure Pearce north of the bridge.
“[The Green announcement] is totally unrelated to Pearce but it’s obligatory to our club to listen when any talented players are on the market,” Gorman said.
“(Pearce) is an extremely talented player.”
More to come.
