Mitchell Pearce says he has unfinished business with Tricolours after signing a two-year extension with the Roosters until at least the end of 2019.
Pearce’s re-signing is a massive boost to the Bondi club who were desperate to keep him.
The 27-year-old halfback helped the side to the 2013 premiership and has represented NSW on 15 occasions with many touting him for a return to the sky blue jersey in 2017.
“The Roosters mean a lot to me,” Pearce said.
“The Club has been a big part of my life, and there’s been a lot of loyalty.
“There’s such a good group of people at the Roosters and I’ve made some of my closest mates here. I’m proud to represent the club, and I feel like I’ve got unfinished business.
Sydney Roosters Head Coach Trent Robinson said:
“Mitch is a Rooster and this is his home, so it’s great news for our Members and everyone at the club to know that he will continue to play his role with the Roosters in the coming years."
