The Raiders have have signed Jack Wighton to a new deal keeping him in the lime green until the end of the 2020 season.
Wighton has been one of the Raiders most consistent and exciting players over the past two seasons, with a permanent shift to fullback making him one of the most important parts of the Green Machine.
Wighton said he’s looking forward to continuing his career with tCanberra and helping the Raiders secure their first premiership since 1994.
“I’m very excited and very happy to stay here in Canberra with the Raiders and I know we’ve got a really strong team here and great club,” Wighton said. “We all want to work towards winning a premiership and I’m really looking forward to the next few seasons here.”

Raiders CEO Don Furner said the re-signing the Raiders junior was a huge boost for the club and Jack was a big part of the Raiders future.
“Jack is an extremely talented player who is maturing into a very consistent and established NRL player. We’re very happy he’s decided to remain with the Raiders,” Furner said. “He’s a big part of our plans as we build for the future and someone we believe is very important for our football club.”
Making his debut for the Raiders in 2012, Wighton has played over 100 matches at NRL level and has represented both the Indigenous All-Stars and Country Origin teams.
