Souths started well with Greg Inglis scoring the Bunnies second try inside the first 20 minutes. The Warriors hit back with a try of their own with Ben Matulino coming off the bench to score, but it was the Rabbitohs who had the ascendency running in another try to round-out the first half.

The home team responded after the break with back to back tries from Conrad Hurrell and Pita Godinet giving the Warriors a four point lead. It was short-lived with George Burgess putting the Bunnies back in front. The final score was 24-22 keeping South Sydney's unbeaten start to the season intact.
