The Brocnos have offered the off-contract half a three-year $2.7 million deal but six rival clubs are interested in snaring him.

And despite it being the richest deal in Broncos history, Brisbane historically pay unders, the 22-year-old could command in excess of $1.2 million a year elsewhere.

His halves partner Ben Hunt has taken up a five-year $6 million contract with the Dragons with Milford rated just as good if not better among NRL powerbrokers.

Milford’s manager Sam Ayoub said his client’s preference was to remain at Red Hill.

“I am trying not to manipulate this situation. Just because an inquiry has been made it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen," Ayoub told Newscorp.

“Melbourne rang me about four or five days ago but they have made no offer at this stage. It would be silly to think there wouldn’t be interest in Anthony, but we’re continuing talks with the Broncos.

“An inquiry has been made and that’s the extent of it at the moment.”
