The 2017 NRL draw has been released so it’s time for Inside Sport to dissect four of the biggest rivalry matches of next season.
Rabbitohs v Tigers
Round 1 – Friday, March 3 - ANZ Stadium, 8:05pm
Robbie Farah’s exit from his beloved Tigers was about as messy as it gets.
The 249-gamer was banished to reserve grade by coach Jason Taylor in the middle of last season, one game shy of the landmark appearance.
A slanging match ensued with many Tigers fans hurt by the way their former premiership winner and captain was treated.
He subsequently signed a two-year deal with the Rabbitohs and will be itching to get one over Taylor.
There is no love lost between these two.

Broncos v Cowboys
Round 2 – Friday, March 10 - Suncorp Stadium, 8.05pm
These two teams have gifted rugby league fans some of the most scintillating football witnessed in recent seasons and history suggests their Round 2 encounter will be no different.
Once considered the poor little brother, the Cowboys earned the ultimate redemption with their golden-point 2015 grand final win over the Broncos.
In fact, three of their past five encounters have gone into extra-time with just three points separating the teams in that time.
Expect a packed house at Queensland’s home of rugby league.
Storm v Sharks
Round 6 – Sunday, April 9 - AAMI Park, 4pm
The grand final rematch is historically a blockbuster and this one is sure to explode.
The sides garnered a win a piece in the 2016 regular season before the Sharks took the chocolates in the big dance to claim a maiden premiership.
The sides might not have a traditional rivalry, but you can bet that after a hard-fought 2016 decider, these two teams will be out to stamp their authority on season 2017.

Eels v Titans
Round 24 – TBA
The Eels faithful have been waiting a long time to see their former favourite son Jarryd Hayne take on his old club and he is sure to cop it from Parramatta supporters in what will be his first match against his childhood club.
The Gold Coast recruit vowed to never wear another team’s colours when he left at the end of 2014 to bring his NFL dream to life.
That was until the Titans offered him $2.4 million over two seasons to return to the NRL.
Hayne will no doubt feel the wrath of his former fans who would love nothing more than to see him play a shocker.
Unfortunately for them, Hayne is generally at his best when it counts the most.
