West Coast have confirmed they will challenge Will Schofield's suspension for striking Melbourne's Clayton Oliver at the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night.
Schofield was offered a one-match ban by the Match Review Panel (MRP), but risks a two-game suspension by taking it to the tribunal.
The incident occurred after the half-time siren during Saturday night's clash at Domain Stadium, with both sides involved in a melee.
Schofield raised his elbow at Oliver, with minimal contact occurring but enough for the Demons youngster to fall to the ground.

Oliver's reaction initially drew criticism, but the MRP's finding appeared to vindicate it.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Melbourne Football Club, the MRP assessed the incident as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.
West Coast disagreed and confirmed on Tuesday morning, they'd take the matter to the tribunal, who were due to sit to adjudicate on Richmond's Bachar Houli's strike on Carlton's Jed Lamb.
In a statement, the Eagles said: "The club feels there is sufficient evidence to clear him of the charge."
The club will challenge Will Schofield's striking charge at the AFL Tribunal.
