Amidst all the controversy, glitz and galmour that is the Monaco GP, as Nico Rosberg won it for a third straight year.  After Lewis Hamilton was on track to take his 37th career win after leading the pack from pole, controversy struck as fresh faced 17 year old Max Verstappen rammed into Romain Grosjean as he tried to overtake the Lotus driver. The safety car was called, when Hamilton was then called in for a pit stop, he then found himself behind both his teammate Rosberg and rival Vettel. The tight track meant the British driver was unable to close the deficit, finishing the race in third.  With that win Rosberg is now right back in contention for the Drivers Championship but the circumstances of the win will do nothing to mend an already tense relationship with his teammate.

Aussie Daniel Riccardo finished the race in 5th.
