Bulldogs coach Des Hasler has slammed his side’s ill-discipline following Thursday night’s 30-14 flogging to a Johnathan Thurston-less Cowboys.
They twice gave away penalties when in possession for obstruction and continuously piggy backed North Queensland up the field by giving away silly penalties.
And with Cronulla and the Roosters to play in the next fortnight, Canterbury have got to fix things fast.
They have the second worst attacking record in the NRL and average just 15 points per game.
Hasler said they were their own worst enemy.
"In the first half we cruelled ourselves as far as our discipline," Hasler said.

"It was a bit wayward, particularly when you give away penalties with the ball.
"We certainly made it easy for them getting down the field and getting into field possession and they scored five tries - four from kicks."
And when they did have the ball they lacked direction with halfback Moses Mbye in particular struggling to guide his troops.
And with the in-form Josh Reynolds on the sidelines for at least a month, Canterbury’s attacking woes could continue.
"We just didn't manage our opportunities well enough," Hasler said.
"We just didn't use the ball well enough. Consequently when you find yourself trying to chasing points the way we had to chase points, it makes it tough."
