Canterbury leaked 12 points in the opening 10 minutes in Round 1 before going down 12-6.

And with the Roosters scoring 28 points in the opening stanza against the Titans on Saturday night, the Bulldogs must come out with a bang at Allianz Stadium tonight.

“It was a poor start from us, we know that,” Brett Morris said. “They came out of the blocks ready to go and we got stuck in that first 10 minutes and that was the game in the end. The rest of the game we were fighting and trying to claw our way back.”

Canterbury have somewhat re-invented their attacking style which failed to gel as they blew several scoring opportunities on a wet track against the Storm.

And with similar conditions forecast tonight in Sydney, the Bulldogs will have to make their plays stick.

“In the second half we had a fair bit of ball and missed a few opportunities there where we could have scored points and ultimately that’s what cost us the game in the end,” Morris said.

“You need to score points, mate, and it doesn’t matter what the conditions. Obviously against a Melbourne Storm side who are typically known as a defensive side, it was quite tough. We did what we had to and there was a few execution errors there and they are things we need to right.”
