Bulldogs enforcer Sam Kasiano could spend some time on the sidelines after he was charged with dangerous contact for kicking Broncos captain Corey Parker in the face during the dying stages of Brisbane's 20-10 win on Thursday night.
Replays showed Parker retreating from Kasiano’s legs after tackling the Canterbury forward, only for the interchange merchant to collect Parker with his boots as he got to his feet.
The Broncos veteran required stitches to his chin to close the gash, with Parker fronting Kasiano over the issue.
Parker, who needed assistance from a trainer directly after the incident, said he believed Kasiano knew he was in the firing line as his opponent threw his foot back.
“He said he was sorry but why does that mean now? Have a look at my head,” Parker told Fox Sports.
“No question. Of course he knew I was there.
“I’ve got to take his word for it. He said he was sorry and he didn’t mean it but my head was where it was and it got what it got.”
No penalty was given for the incident and therefore was not placed on report.
The match review committee hit Kasiano with a grade two charge.
