The Sea Eagles hope to build a $20 million state of the art Centre of Excellence at their Narrabeen headquarters.
CEO Tim Cleary lodged the club’s proposal with the NRL last Friday to get funds for the project.
“The State Government has put $40 million into the NRL for NSW teams to build a centre of excellence,” Cleary told NewsCorp. “We have put a submission in to get $10 million.”
The club hope to raise $10 million from corporates with the Penn family who own the club also tipping in.

Physiotherapists and specialist sports doctors would be located at the facility which would be open to the public.
The Storm, Broncos and Bulldogs have similar facilities with the centre to put Manly in line with leading clubs.
“It would bring extraordinary benefits to other sporting clubs and teams as well as the community,” Cleary said.
Confirmation from the NRL and NSW Government is expected next month.
