In the 2018 regular season the aggregate attendance was 2,929,922 with an an average crowd of 15,260 per game.

That is the highest figure since 2008 when the aggregate crowd was 2,933,469 with an average of 15,591 at every match.

The 2018 number presents a 2.29% growth from last year, when the aggregate attendance was 2,864,464 and the average was 14,919.

With club memberships and also TV ratings both up, the NRL has enjoyed a solid season.

Seven NRL clubs registered increases in their home crowds, the biggest achieved by South Sydney at 69.96% with theirs rising to 18,531.

Nine clubs saw their home attendance decline, with Parramatta and Manly suffering the biggest dips.

The wooden spoon-winning Eels' crowds were down 22.11% to 11,175 while the Sea Eagles' dropped 16.76% to 11,232.
