A police strike force has met with the NRL integrity unit following allegations relating Tigers star Tim Simona and match-fixing.
A police investigation is underway and Simona’s NRL registration will be revoked.
He is accused of betting on matches, opposition tryscorers and even himslef during Tigers matches last season.
Strike Force Nuralda, formed to investigate match fixing allegations last year, has taken up the investigation.
“Detectives from the Organised Crime Squad’s Strike Force Nuralda have met with the NRL integrity unit in relation to reported conduct of a 25-year-old player,” the police statement read.
Simona allegedly used people he knew to best on his behalf with bets as little as $10.
