The prosecution has dropped the domestic violence case against NRL star Semi Radradra.
The former partner of the NRL star, Perina Ting, admitted she wanted to "heat the media" before voicing domestic violence allegations to police.
The court heard Ms Ting sent a friend a message nine days before going to police seeking someone who could help her "heat up the media".
"Part of your strategy was to heat the media and you needed help, correct?" Radradra's defence barrister Murugan Thangaraj SC said in Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
"Yes, sir," she replied.
The court heard Ms Ting was only receiving $250 a week from Radradra and did not qualify for Centrelink payments because of his high salary.
Parramatta are holding a press conference on the matter this afternoon.
More to come.
