Rugby league legend Tommy Raudonikis has unleashed on NRL boss Todd Greenberg and reckons he needs to cut the “bullsh-t”.
Four players and a club chairman were caught with cocaine during the past week sending the game into chaos.
Rooster Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Kiwis skipper Jesse Bromwich, Titans co-captain Kevin Proctor, Sharks Holden Cup player Jesse Savage and Sharks chairman Damien Keogh were all busted for alleged cocaine use leading to the game to potentially losing millions in sponsorship and membership.
Greenberg talked tough in the aftermath which has seen Bromwich receive just a two-week suspension.
Raudonikis reckons the head of the NRL needs to man up and come down harder on players who offend.
“Todd Greenberg was saying this week that his welfare and educational program was going great guns. Bulls***,” Raudonikis told Channel Nine.
“Then you turn around and say you haven’t got a f***ing drug problem? Please. What’s going on here? Every f***ing body is using it.
“What the NRL have got to do, they’ve got to get balls. And they’ve got to start making a few rules, and carry the rules out.
“Anyone allegedly caught with drugs, in possession or use or whatever, should first of all be stood down, and if they’re found guilty they should be sacked. None of this messing around.”
