Pressure mounts on Geoff Toovey and the Saints march into top spot.

The Battle of the West kicked off round 12 in the NRL. Chris Sandow shoved the controversy away from him as he lead the Eels to an important win against their fierce rivals the Panthers. Adding insult to injury star young gun Matt Moylan looks that he is set to be on the sidelines for a lengthy period with an ankle injury.

The Rabbitohs managed to get the job done in a tough match against the Titans after Greg Inglis was knocked out early in the second half and did not return.

A try of the season contender from Lachlan Maranta as his 95m effort helped the Broncos beat the Raiders in the nation's capital. The try had Wayne Bennett smiling but his counterpart Ricky Stuart didn’t see it the same way after he walked out of the post match conference.

Gavin Cooper broke Manly hearts as the Cowboys won with 30 seconds remaining, beating the Sea Eagles in a tight affair, putting the pressure on Manly coach Geoff Toovey.

The Warriors managed to hold off the Knights across the ditch (dutch for our Kiwi readers).

Finally, the Dragons absolutely demolished their local rivals the Sharks, marchin into top spot in the process.

The Roosters and Melbourne play tonight.
