Origin stars Aaron Woods and Daly Cherry-Evans backed up just 48 hours after a bruising Game Two in Melbourne. However, it was "$10 million" man DCE who had the last laugh, with his Sea Eagles brushing aside the Wests Tigers 30-20, as the Manly boys snapped a three-game losing streak.

On Super Saturday, first up it was the Cowboys who got over the Raiders in a thriller in the nation's capital. In a crazy final minute, a Johnathan Thurston field goal after the siren was enough for a 21-20 win, as the Cowboys won their 11th-straight game.

A strong second half performance from the New Zealand Warriors was enough to out-muscle a gallant Gold Coast Titans side 36-14, with 2014 Golden Boot winner Shaun Johnson bagging 20 of the 36 points.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs were far too strong for the "Pink Panthers", winning 24-12. Forward Josh Jackson was put on report for a dangerous throw on Jamie Soward.

Sunday afternoon footy in the Hunter produced a highly entertaining encounter between the Knights and the Sharks. The Sharks twice came back from ten points down to earn a gritty 30-28 victory, with Ben Barba scoring his first-ever try in Sharks colours.

Down in Melbourne, the Brisbane Broncos produced one of the best defensive displays this season, grinding out a hard fought 14-12 victory over the Storm at AAMI Park. The win sees the Broncos stay atop of the competition ladder, on equal points with Queensland rivals the Cowboys.

Monday night football saw fierce rivals St George Illawarra Dragons go down to the Sydney Roosters 19-14 at Allianz Stadium.
